The re-issuance of vanity calls by the FCC can result in a call sign having two 1010 numbers.
The "call to 1010 number" part of the program will not work correctly if there is more than one 1010 number assigned to a call.
If your search on a call returns a 1010 number that doesn’t seem correct, perform a search on the questioned 1010 number to verify that your original call is returned. If your two searches don’t match, there probably is an error in the database.
Correcting the problem is a simple matter of locating the two occurrences of a call in the database and changing one of them to SK (silent key). Generally, the lowest 1010 number will be the SK.
Instructions for locating the two calls:
- be sure the call is not displayed in cells B6,B10,B14 or B18
- press the CTRL key then the F key
- a “Find” requester will appear
- make sure the “match case” box is NOT checked
- type in the call to find and press ENTER
- note the row and column of the resulting find (you may need to move the requester box)
- press ENTER again to find the second call
